Indhold
This class examines the evolution of global television, film and music. It looks at national patterns in film, music and television production, considering the reasons why many nations are able to produce extensively in television and music but not film. It looks at why U.S. films have been relatively more dominant in global flow and distribution than U.S. television or music. It also looks at the emergence of local film, music and television in some large nations, like India, and at regional or transnational television and music industries in several regions and languages, Latin America, the Arab World, Asia and the English- and Portuguese-speaking nations across the world.
