In the final evaluation it will be taken into account to what extent the student:
- demonstrates knowledge and understanding of theories of culture and society introduced during the course;
- is able to present and evaluate these different theories;
- is able to choose relevant theories and to discuss the choice of theory in relation to specific cases and problems;
- demonstrates knowledge of course literature.
The objective is to introduce the student to theories of culture and society and to give the student knowledge of selected theories relevant to the European Studies programme. The purpose is furthermore to allow the student to develop an understanding of how these theories are applied in analysis.

The examination consists of a 6 hour written examination where the student answers questions in the course literature. The student may bring course literature, course notes, and dictionaries and refer to this during the exam. The student may use computer or laptop during the examination. Internet connection is not allowed
