In the final evaluation it will be taken into account to what extent the student:
International History
The objective of the course is for the students to learn how memories and understandings of history inform many current international political, economic and business decision-making processes and negotiations. During the cause of the course the student should to identify the historical dimensions of the complexities of globalization in the relationship between nation-states, regions, supranational global networks, businesses, and international corporations and organizations. An introduction to various perspectives on what constitutes history and the centres and margins of the world should sensitize the students to the diversity within the history of the global community. In order to illustrate the process of globalization, three to five key topics will be traced through distinct periods since 1900. The course aims to sharpen student awareness of the dynamics of change in the organization and the development of international relations and businesses.

Instructions will typically involve lectures, student presentations, group work, and class discussions in a combination that exposes the students to advantages of different learning styles. During the semester all students will also be expected to meet for individual consultations.
