Formål

In the final evaluation it will be taken into account to what extent the
student:
- demonstrates analytical insight into the topics and themes
dealt with during the course;
- demonstrates knowledge of course literature;
- demonstrates the ability to use theories in analysis;
- demonstrates the ability to evaluate and analyse social and
cultural issues;
- demonstrates the ability to situate social and cultural issues
in a European context.

Indhold

The objective is to give the student a comprehensive understanding of
making social and cultural analysis in a European context. Furthermore the
purpose is to allow the student to work with the theories introduced during
the course Theories of Culture and Society and to apply these to specific
cases.

Undervisnings- og arbejdsform

Instructions will typically involve lectures, student presentations and class
discussions. There may be some work with case studies, and some group
work.
