Formål

• viser viden om tværfaglige emner i bred forstand 
• har kendskab til de metoder der kan anvendes til at undersøge emner med hensyn til tværfaglige emner 
• har indsigt i relevante teorier

Indhold

Point of departure for the course will be the application of the CA method to consultations between GPs (general practitioners) and their patients. You will be encouraged and inspired to gather data yourselves, and in your own collection of data you can expand the field of study to other areas of the health care system. The aim of the course is twofold: on one track we will be working in depth with the consultation as a genre within professional-lay interaction, constituted by certain functionally and interactionally defined phases (opening - symptom presentation/ history taking - diagnosis - treatment negotiations etc). This we will get at by reading the relatively solid CA findings on this and by looking at data (mine, yours, other).

On another track we will take on a practitioner perspective: What are the tasks and issues facing the GP in real time interactions with patients; how are students of medicine taught to communicate at university, and what is the basis for this teaching. These issues we will get at through guest lectures from the Faculty of Health Sciences and through extracts from text books for students of medicine.

The aim of the course is to explore how CA can contribute to improve communication in health care. Hence a recurrent concern will be to evaluate practice on the basis of research findings.

Undervisnings- og arbejdsform

Undervisningen består af en kombination af underviserens forelæsninger, studerendes oplæg og diskussioner. Studerende skal deltage aktivt i undervisningen med tilkendegivelse af overvejelser gjort i forbindelse med læsning, holde oplæg, og deltage regelmæssigt i uformelle diskussioner om behandling af grammatiske fænomener".
