Formål

In this course the focus will be on the typical sequential process used in analyzing, predicting and planning traffic networks. The typical sequential process consists of the four parts Trip Generation, Trip Distribution, Traffic Assignment and Modal Split. The main part of the course will present the development of models and methods for Traffic assignment and Trip distribution. Apart of this estimation of trip distribution based on network information, network design will be discussed. The course will be based on published articles in the area and an overview of the historical development will be given.
