Formål

The focal point of the seminar is cognitive deficits, dementia, and cerebrovascular disease among elderly people and neuropsychological assessment within this population. The seminar will introduce students to basic
neuroanatomy, and neuropsychological assessment of elderly through theory and
practice. Students will be presented to tests of attention, memory, language,
and executive function. Finally, the cognitive profiles of common neurodegenerative
and acute diseases are presented and the students are expected to generate a
neuropsychological test battery for assessment thereof.
