Formål

The goal of Technology Specialization III is to develop the technological competences of the student to an advanced level, combining a stay either at a foreign university or Aarhus University with the cooperation with the mentor company. The project is an individual specialization and the student is selecting the topic together with the company and the head of the department.

The subject must be highly technological and built on Technology Specialization I and II, for example within

  • Mechanical technology
  • Electronic technology
  • Computer/Internet technology
  • Production technology

The student is trained to learn a highly complicated technology in a short time and to be able to understand, assess and use this technology on an operational level. It extends previous laboratory work, making supplementary in depth experiments and/or testing equipment and prototypes with future users. These abilities are central for further work in the industry, where tasks in the future requires the ability to learn new technological knowledge fast and to a deep level.

Should the company project require a crucial examination of an alternative technology not directly building on Technology Specialization I and II, dispensation is possible. However the technological depth must be maintained.
