Topics in Quantitative Economics is a special course used as an umbrella for IMSQE-students writing a small paper in a topic of their choice, making it is possible for the students to work on a topic where there is not enough students to justify lecture series. The subject of the paper must be accepted by the supervisor of the IMSQE-student.
Students who want to prepare a Topics paper should contact a faculty member associated with the IMSQE-programme (to become the supervisor) to discuss the content of the topic. The topic must be agreed on with the supervisor, who may also provide a list of possible required reading. The paper (20 pages at most) must be handed in to the supervisor on the date agreed upon with him/her.
If the Topics paper shall count as one of the written activities required in the academic regulations for the IMSQE-programme, the Study Board for Economics and Management should be notified when the paper is handed in to the supervisor.
The title of the topics paper will be indicated on the student's course diploma.
The supervisor is selected from the list of faculty members associated with the IMSQE-programme.
Written assignment prepared under supervision.
