Formål

The goal of Company Project I is to empower the student to test the theory from first semester in practice. The projects should have the main focus on the company's possibility to adapt to new technologies and business opportunities by organisational change and development, which lead to innovative technological products and product concepts, manufacturing processes and business opportunities.

Specifically, the student project should demonstrate one or more of the following topics:

  • Examine the company's existing structure, business processes and culture in order to uncover the readiness and curiosity for organisational change and development, especially regarding the business processes concerning the de facto company technologies, product development tools, production technologies and marketing of the products.
  • Based on the organisational analysis and the personality profile for selected employees, the student learns models to develop a learning environment set-up through responsibility empowerment and an incentive system, that promotes innovation, creativity and enthusiasm to see new product and business opportunities while respecting the company's corporate product and segment portfolio, employee competences, core competences, capabilities and strategy.
  • Conduct recruiting and employee development interview.
  • Human Resource Management, Organizational Change and Development, Strategic leadership, Strategic Innovation.

Focus could be on technological resources which elevate the innovative level of the company products. But equally suitable could be projects which deal with the company's manufacturing processes, internal information flow or external information flow to suppliers and customers.

One major criterion for success of the project is the student's ability to relate the work to a new technology.
