The objectives are that the participants can

describe how to conduct a survey
·
describe sources of errors in survey sampling
·
analyze estimators of means and ratios
·
derive statistical properties of stratification and cluster sampling
·
analyze discrete choice using logit and probit models
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course consists of two parts. The first part concerns survey sampling. This includes how to implement a sample survey and sampling methods. The second part concerns analysis of qualitative data. This includes estimation and testing if there is a relationship between a binary response variable and some predictor variables.

A 4 hour written exam jointly with the course Regression Analysis.
EXAMINATION AIDS ALLOWED: All - except any means of electronic communication including calculators, mobile phones and PCs. A simple calculator will be provided to the students at the exam.
