LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After successful completing the course, the participants can
· explain the structure of macro economics models
· explain the properties of the different model types
· develop and modify macro economics model
· perform forecast and policy analyses
· theorize on deterministic and stochastic properties of the macro economic
models
· theorize on properties of estimation and forecasting methods
· theorize on the solution of macroeconomic model
produce forecasts, evaluate economic policies, and evaluate properties of
macroeconomics models
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the course is to provide students with practical experience of tools
and techniques (both statistical and computational) for developing and applying
macro economic models
The course focuses on traditional macroeconomic models but also newer model
types will be introduced and the reports may compare the properties of the traditional
models with the newer models.
PREREQUISITES: 7020: Econometrics, 7500 Macro 2, 7515 Micro 2.

TEACHING METHOD: Classroom lectures concentrated in the beginning of the
semester and regular consultation meetings with the teachers. Additional lectures
may be given depending upon the needs and the background of the students
