Ved bedømmelsen af prøvepræstationen vil der blive lagt vægt på i hvor høj grad den studerende
This is an intensive course designed for students with some experience in writing academic texts. The course aims at exploring how far anthropology can go in terms of creative writing and still be science. The course has both a theoretical and a practical component: in the mornings we will engage in a critical reading of anthropological texts that has either set new standards or moved the boundaries of anthropological writing; in the afternoons we will write texts ourselves experimenting with different styles of reasoning and presenting data. The course will provide students with tools to reflect upon the validity and relevance of conventional academic writing styles as well as some experience with experimental writing. It will result in a small publication of self-produced texts that explore key anthropological issues in a creative manner. Students should be prepared for two concentrated weeks of work and some reading to be done in advance.
Sommerskolen er åben for studerende med en bestået bachelorgrad i antropologi eller beslægtede discipliner.

We will engage ourselves in the creative process of reading others' texts, we will read theoretical contributions to the understanding of textual anthropology, and we will write several small pieces ourselves. Students should be prepared for a concentrated periode of work.
