Formål
The main objective is to solve a sensor problem and present the solution in a scientific manner
Indhold
Students will be presented for a specific sensor problem, set up a hypothesis, describe a solution, test and validate the setup, document choices and present the process as a small scientific paper. The course focus on sensor solutions to be build into automation units and how these units may become useful for control, measurement or documentation.

Course: Sensor technology; the course Digital Picture Processing should be taken no later than in parallel

Undervisnings- og arbejdsform
Students will be presented to a real problem that has to be solved scientifically and practically and a report written. Ad-hoc lectures and supervision will be provided.

Læringsmål
After finalisation of the course students are able to:

Hypothesise a sensor problem and plan a specific sensor or measuring task

Specify requirements of sensors and measuring equipment based on an analysis of the surrounding domain and technical specifications and interactions.

Design and discuss a sensor or measuring solution and document the choice of components.

Sample, validate and analyse data from the sensor problem

Write a report on the given subject, present the problem and solutions, and discuss and reflect on the chosen solutions.
Bedømmelse
-
The exam is a combination of an individual written report and oral examination.

Oral examination for 30 min.
-
The reports and the oral exam counts equal.
