The course introduces the student to methods for applying adequate information and communication technologies in automated and semi-automated agricultural systems.
The course introduces the student to the different aspects of information and communication technologies in automated and semi-automated systems in agriculture with a problem-oriented approach. The student will learn to establish an online monitoring of a biologically important phenomenon over the internet. This comprises a series of steps from implementation of a suitable sensor to a sensible storage of data in a database to the final presentation of data on an interactive web page.

At the end of the course it is expected that the student is capable of :
Students are obliged to write a short report after each lesson, either individually or in groups up to 5 students. Each report describes one step in the information flow from sensor to web presentation. At the end of the course the students will compile the short reports to a final report documenting the complete system. Oral examination for 20 minutes based on the report and with no further means of help.
