The goal of Technology Specialization I (TS1) is to support the technological mentor company project. The project is an individual specialization and the student is selecting a technological topic together with the company and the head of studies (in his place, the appointed supervisor).

The subject must be highly technological and typical areas could be technologies of

- Mechanical and energy

- Business process and other non-material technologies

The understanding of technology is broad and do generally encompass the essential productive forces of the enterprise.

The purpose is to train the student in the ability to learn a highly complicated technology in a short time and to be able to understand, assess and use this technology on an operational level. This includes assessing and delimitating a technical problem, considering alternative technical solutions and analysing them, producing a recommended choice of technique. These abilities are central for further work in the industry, where tasks in the future require the ability to learn new technological knowledge fast and to a deep level.

A scientific and methodological systematic is to be trained and used. Scientific articles and critical textbooks should always be employed.
