The goal of Technology Specialization II is to further develop the technological competencies of the student in tight cooperation with the mentor company. The project is an individual specialization and the student is selecting the topic together with the company and the head of the department.
The subject must be highly technological and build on Technology Specialization I, for example within
The understanding of technology is broad and also encompasses mechanisms of service, procedures and other non-material technologies.
The student is trained to learn a highly complicated technology in a short time and to be able to understand, assess and use this technology on an operational level. This includes experimental and laboratory work using relevant tools, methods and techniques, and interaction with potential future users. These abilities are central for further work in the industry where tasks in the future requires the ability to learn new technological knowledge fast and to a deep level.
Special company project requirements may allow the student to conduct an in-depth examination of another technology not in direct prolongation of Technology Specialization I

Guidance through technical coach (30%), self study (40%), Experiments (20%).
English
The students are expected to find relevant scientific literature on their own.
Mini report, PowerPoint presentation and individual oral
examination. Subject must be approved by the head of studies.
The report must contain:
- Abstract
- Introduction to the subject
- Methods of data acquisition and planning of experiments
- Theory of the technology.
- Analysis and experimental result
- Summary, conclusion and suggestions for further work
- Literature references.
The student presents the report in the form of a PowerPoint
Presentation with a substantial emphasis on:
- Independent, relevant and factual information of
interest for other students.
- Attractive and communicative PowerPoint presentation
with extensive use of tables, graphs, figures, animations and
(own) video clip.
- Exemplification in the form of a small calculation,
demonstration or experiment. (make agreement with the study
manager concerning purchasing equipment).
The student has 10 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of
examination of the content of the report.
Examiners: Lecturer and internal examiner.
