Formål

 

On completion of the module, the student can, on a scientific basis:

  1. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and insight into leadership, innovation and complexity theories.
  2. Analyse and communicate complex practical as well as theoretical problems in leadership and innovation in organisations.

Indhold

1. Seminars and lectures, self-study and supervision.

2. In addition to the supervision, the module will consist of lectures on relevant research methods, such as action research and qualitative interviews. The students will be offered a supervised writing workshop.

Faglige forudsætninger

The Master Thesis can only be taken after successful completion of modules 1, 2 and 3.

Master i ledelse og innovation - i komplekse systemer

The Master Thesis must not exceed 60 normal pages, including notes and list of literature but excluding appendices.

If the Master Thesis is produced in groups of two or three, the required number of pages increases (two students: 80 normal pages, three students: 100 normal pages).

The Master thesis must be written in English. and include an executive summary in Danish or, with the permission of the student's supervisor, an executive summary in German or French. The executive summary will be taken into account in the overall evaluation and grading.

The Master Thesis is evaluated during an individual oral exam (duration including evaluation: 45 minutes). The Master Thesis and the oral exam are built around a problem formulation which has been written by the student and approved by the supervisor. The oral exam must be taken individually.

The oral exam is conducted in English.

All grades are given on an individual basis. The grade is based on an overall evaluation of the Master Thesis - excluding appendices - as well as the student's performance during the oral exam.
