Formål

The participants will after the course have insight into the work in a research group at the department. The working method of the course will also train the participants to independently seek information, to plan and complete projects, to communicate professional issues, to read and understand research and technical papers and to solve a particular research and development task.

Indhold

The course encompasses project activities related to the research groups at the department. The project work is carried out in consultation with the appointed project counsellor and is documented in a written report. The report documents the research and development process and the results obtained. The report is made during the course. The exact submission date for handing in the report is made in agreement with the project counsellor.

Læringsmål

The participants must at the end of the course be able to:

• Discuss the research and development work process.
• Compare, describe and apply technology, terminology, methods, and results from the respective area.

Plan and execute a smaller practical project in a research and development related framework.

Bedømmelse

Written report that documents the project work, followed by an oral presentation of the report. Grade: pass/not pass. Internal examiner
