Læringsmål

After the course the students are expected to be able to

  • account for the structure of biomolecules and membranes
  • account for relevant biophysical processes
  • analyze the behavior and phenomena in biological systems based on energy and entropy arguments
  • derive and discuss equations for relevant physical and chemical processes
  • discuss important techniques used to study biomolecules and biophysical processes
  • search for relevant literature within the topics examined in the course
  • convey a topic within the field of biophysics

Bedømmelse

There will be an oral examination with the presence of an internal examiner. There is no preparation.  The examination time will be circa 30 minutes. The student draws a question and gives a 10-15 minutes presentation. After that the examination has the form of a discussion. Grading according to the 7-point scale.
